artsbus Day Itinerary
Schedule subject to change.

*DAY BUSES NOW LEAVE NY AT 7:30 PM & RETURN TO GMU AT 12:45 AM

 THE BUS LEAVES PROMPTLY AND WILL LEAVE WITHOUT YOU IF YOU ARE NOT THERE ON TIME!
5:30 AM- Board bus in parking circle by the Finley Building, GMU Fairfax
6:00 AM- Depart promptly from GMU
10:30 - 11:00 AM Arrive in New York City

Downtown* buses will make stops at:

  1. 40th Street & Seventh Ave (Times Square & subway to Midtown/Uptown)
  2. 23rd Street and 7th Ave. ( take the F train at 23rd and 6th Ave. to Broadway/Lafeyette station for SoHo)
  3. 23rd and 10th for Chelsea galleries

    Uptown* buses will make stops at:
  1. 40th Street & Seventh Ave (Times Square & subway to Midtown/Uptown)
  2. The 57th Street area,
    3. The Whitney Museum, (945 Madison Ave)
    4. The Metropolitan Museum, (82nd St. & Fifth Ave.)

*Not all trips include both Downtown and Uptown buses.

7:00 PM Board bus in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
7:30 PM Depart from The Metropolitan Museum of Art
        82nd St. & Fifth Avenue
12:30 AM Return to GMU Fairfax Campus Finley Building
 
- If you plan on taking a taxi to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, you will need to catch it by 5:30 at the latest to avoid the evening rush.
 
- Allow 1/2 hour in line at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's coat check.
 
- Buses maintain a strict schedule and cannot wait for passengers. Passengers who do not return to the bus on time will be left behind.
 
THE BUS LEAVES PROMPTLY AND WILL LEAVE WITHOUT YOU IF YOU ARE NOT THERE ON TIME!
 
- Should you miss the bus when it leaves NY, you can go to Pennsylvania Station between 7th and 8th Avenues, between 31st and 33rd Streets (Amtrak train costs approximately $72.00). You can also go to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, 625 8th Ave, one block west of Times Square between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and 40th and 42nd Streets (Greyhound bus costs approximately $42.00).

**Occasionally, due to poor ticket sales, artsbus must cancel one or more of its buses. Ticket holders will be contacted by the Box Office prior to the trip, and will receive a refund. Artsbus regrets any inconvenience that this may cause, and urges you to purchase tickets early.
